The years of 2006 and 2007 will mark the consolidation of efforts that have been made at the farm since 2001. Besides our Brazilian friends, probably more than 300 people, among friends from the USA, France, India, Japan, Ireland, Holland, South Africa and Switzerland have come to the farm, stayed just a few days, or a month, up to three months. Many of them came back, some of them many times over. They shared with us the development of a new vision, a new project, a beautiful undertaking. They brought new energy to an old farm and helped it in its process of rebirth. They told us they also received good energy from the farm and its inhabitants, finding new ways of thinking and seeing the world and their own day-to-day life.

We feel that making room in the farms’ life for old friends and new friends, to participate in our project, has become a wish and a dream of all who live at the farm. Therefore, it is with great joy that FAF presents its 2006 and 2007 calendar of events. The plans that you are about to see are the fruits of a search for a common ground of interests between different kinds of people: city and rural; sophisticated and simple; experienced and inexperienced; Portuguese speakers, and speakers of many other languages. They all have in common deep love for nature, care for the environment, yearning for social justice, physical and emotional health,  clean water, nurturing fresh food, and the sustainability on life in this planet.
